Out With The Old...

Last week Allison and I discovered that she not only had one loose tooth but two! I was brushing her teeth that morning before school and I did a double take because I saw her teeth move... I can't believe she is old enough to be loosing her teeth!

BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY!!!

video

Well this Big Girl didn't cry but Mommy almost did! Allison has been so ready for this big day for months now and I thought I was too but the last few days I really have thought about what it is going to be like everyday without her here! I truly love this girl... she is the strongest girl I have ever met! I am so very proud of her courage when ever she approaches life's challenges! She is truly my sunshine. She is going to be awesome in kindergarten and don't be surprised if she calls you up and tells you all about it!!!

Naughty Eyes...

The other day Allison started back talking me and I told her that wasn't acceptable and I gave her the look only parents can give and she looked at me and with her most motherly voice of all said don't give me the naughty eyes mommy!!! Once again I couldn't help but laugh.

Do You Have Elephants In Your Ears?

When Allison was little (probably not quite 2) she HATED!!! having her teeth brushed or her ears cleaned with a q-tip. I came up with a way to keep her somewhat happy as I would attempt to gently clean her ears out (she moved around like crazy). I said "Allison do you think you have an Elephant in your ear... let me check". This seemed to be the trick with her and we made it through the ordeal! A few days after I cleaned her ears out (usually after baths) I was laying down on the coach. She came up to me with a toy in her hand up to her ear... I was only half paying attention and so I didn't make the connection at first. She was holding a little toy Elephant the trunk of it she held in her ear... she was so pleased with her self and of course I couldn't help but laugh.
